Thermal
Transfer Ribbons
In thermal transfer printing, the printer, ribbon and
substrate work together as a printing system. The technology
is simple and works by melting ink from the ribbon onto
the receiver/substrate.
Thermal
transfer printing is reliable and low maintenance,
and can be applied in a wide range of on-demand printing
applications.
We
offer a full line of thermal transfer and direct thermal

General
Purpose Wax Ribbon
Wax
ribbons are the most economical choice for thermal
transfer printing. Applications include shipping,
warehousing, retail, textile, and apparel. Choose
a wax ribbon when printing on uncoated and coated
paper tag and label stocks. Wax ribbons may also be
used on some low end films such as polypropylene and
Kimdura®.

Premium Wax/Resin Ribbons
This is the right choice when a higher level of scratch,
smear or mild chemical resistance is needed in labeling
applications. These include shelf and bin labels,
textile, apparel, nursery, and lumber labels. Premium
wax/resin ribbons print well on coated paper tag and
label stocks, low end films, and some polyester labels.

Super Premium Resin Ribbons
Used for harsh environment labeling applications
where resistance to extreme abrasion, heat, or chemicals
is imperative. Applications include chemical drum
labels, pharmaceutical and medical labeling, outdoor
labeling and UL compliance labeling. Super premium
resin ribbons are compatible with higher end synthetic
films including polyester and polyimide (Kapton®).
