Applications
and Uses
Fasson® DemandJet™ 400HG is an ideal choice
for labels printed through the On-Demand Ink Jet systems
where full process color is used to add impact and/or
functionality to the label. The high ink holdout and
gloss of the 400HG provides for excellent clarity
and density of printed graphics, making it a perfect
choice for primary and secondary package labels. To
minimize ink smudging after printing, it is recommended
to print black images in a composite ink mode vs.
with the pigmented black in the VP2020 from VIP Color
Technologies.
Fasson Demand Jet 400HG has been specifically designed
to be highly absorbent to allow water based inkjet
inks to set up quickly. While providing for immediate
smudge-resistance after printing, this characteristic
also makes the sheet highly receptive to airborne
contaminants, and could result in a discoloration
of the unprinted areas. Proper testing in the final
application environment is strongly recommended, especially
when used on or near products with aromatic vapors,
such as scented candles, spices, or products with
volatile solvents. In addition, flexographic inks
should be evaluated prior to use to ensure proper
performance on the absorbent surface.
